No. Old Course tee times are sold within a fully managed luxury golf tour programme which includes a set of minimum requirements, usually 6 Nights, 5 Rounds, and transportation.
When you book your golf tour with us, our fulfilment team will be in touch to arrange all additional requirements such as caddies, buggies etc. All booked caddies will be added to your itinerary. Please note that caddies are not guaranteed but we have an excellent record of securing them for all our golfers. Caddies are paid in cash at the end of each round, so please ensure you have enough Euros or British Pounds to pay them.
Should you wish to know the cost for caddies at each course, please contact our team on info@mygolfgrouptravel.com or give us a call on +353 (0)1-904 1130.
All buggy requests are managed through our fulfilment department. Please note that there are a number of courses across Ireland and Scotland are walking only courses. Please speak to our fulfilment/operations department for furture details on golf buggies.
While its more common for clients to bring their own clubs, it is possible to hire sets of golf clubs. This is handled through our fulfilment/operations department.
Many golf courses, including St Andrews Links do not accept advanced bookings for single golfers, however single golfers can play as part of our escorted tours. If you're a single golfer, contact our sales team on info@mygolfgrouptravel.com.
Most golf courses acorss Ireland and Scotland do not require a handicap cert. The Old Course is one that does - Make sure you bring your handicap certificate to the first tee and present it to the Starter. (Generally, a GHIN card or similar is what is expected). The maximum handicap is 36 for men and ladies on the Old Course.
The Old Course is closed every Sunday (apart from when there are tournaments taking place). It closes in early May, the middle two weeks in September and during the Dunhill Links Trophy which is alternately last week of September or first week of October.
Each golf course sets its own inclement weather policy and therefore all decisions regarding partial refunds or green fee vouchers are solely at the discretion of the supplier.
